Internal polling from the Florida Senate District 11 published EXCLUSIVELY by HelloFLA show the fence-jumping former State Senator Gary Siplin crushing the competition.
Most interesting about this poll is that Siplin has almost universal name ID, with only a miniscule 11% of his district having never having heard of him. His next closest challenger, Randolph Bracy, has spent almost $50,000 and is totally unknown by almost half the electorate. However, Bracy is sitting on a (relatively) huge pile of cash, and Siplin is virtually broke!
Still, Siplin is so well known, and according to this poll well enough liked, that he will probably return to the Florida Senate… even if he spends the rest of the summer fishing to stock up for his Tallahassee-famous fish fry Thursday.
The poll was commissioned by Denise Lasher on behalf of the Siplin campaign, and was conducted by Voter Opinions, a Tallahassee polling firm run by pollster Jennifer Valenstein and well known among insiders for legitimate scientific polling. Three hundred Democratic likely voters within SD 11 were polled on July 6 & 7, 2016.
