SeeMyFWC, a new state governmental watchdog for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, launched today on twitter.
The website promises to “peek inside the state’s most unaccountable agency.” The fancy website contains some stories about some land deals involving several commissioners (here and here) , as well as the investigative report summarizing Liesa Priddy’s ethics complaints.
I reached out to the website via their twitter handle @SeeMyFWC and they responded:
“We are a grassroots group of individuals who believe that our resources should not be managed by special interests and developers. We will let Floridians decide for themselves as we roll out more information, such as a full ethics report depository for commissioners, and information on how Floridians can take action themselves.”
(Disclosure: SeeMyFWC used HelloFLA’s Public Records Intermediary Service. To inquire about the service please contact firstname.lastname@example.org)
