The beach club, covering 17 acres, will accommodate up to 2,000 guests and feature three pools, swim-up bars, cabanas, and island-style dining. The company has committed to involving local labor for the project and has pledged a public-private partnership with the Bahamian government, with the latter potentially owning up to 49% equity in the club. This initiative follows previous investments in the Bahamas, including the renovation of CocoCay into a private destination. Royal Caribbean Group, the parent company, owns Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises. The company's stocks experienced a nearly 3.6% increase on April 23.

Breeze Airways, the U.S.’ only NLCC, or ‘Nice Low Cost Carrier,’ has announced that Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport will become the airline’s ninth base of operations nationally and third in Florida, starting October 1. As a base, Breeze will overnight aircraft and operate as a crew base for pilots and flight attendants. The airline has experienced rapid growth at Fort Myers, doubling in size year over year from Q4 2022 to Q4 2023 and now serves 19 destinations nonstop from RSW, including five new routes in the coming months. Breeze’s President, Tom Doxey, commended the popularity of the airline's operations from Fort Myers, emphasizing the close partnership with the airport's team. With Orlando International becoming Breeze’s eighth base on April 1, their remaining bases include: Charleston, SC; Hartford, CT; New Orleans, LA; Norfolk, VA; Providence, RI; Provo, UT; and Tampa, FL. Furthermore, Breeze currently offers 19 destinations from Fort Myers, including five new routes starting this Fall.

Florida's unemployment rate has reached 3.2%, its highest level in two years, with 353,000 Floridians actively seeking work in mid-March. The overall labor force grew by 7,000 to 11.097 million.
